WoW at E3 - 2004 - Day 1
Untitled Document

Bustling with people the Blizzard booth, in the South Hall #1200, is probably one of the most popular and crowded booths at E3. The sides were lined up with computers where the game was available to anybody who'd like to try it out, with representatives and developers from Blizzard Entertainment and Blizzard North ready to try and answer any questions and walk you through the game.

The small booth was divided into two areas; one for Starcraft: Ghost and the other one for World of Warcraft, with a big screen in the middle showing cinematic movies from both titles. The main background image for the WoW booth had an armed Night Elf female, and a Dwarf carrying a rifle was guarding the stairway to another, even smaller, section of the booth.

There were Blizzard employees everywhere, but unfortunately that didn't help much. The show appeared to only be really exciting for people who haven't followed the game very closely lately, with important questions about PvP, Heroes and Life Quests remaining unanswered; sometimes because they didn't know or because they couldn't say yet.

The walk-in wasn't totally fruitless though, and friendly developers like Andy Kirton, a world builder for World of Warcraft, and Blizzard North employees like Bill Tubbs who let us know that there are definitely plans for expansion packs for the game to add landmass, quests, characters and other forms of content.

Other minor news revealed was the troll and undead mounts; raptors for the trolls and undead horses for the Forsaken.

Screenshots and photos will be put up very shortly. For now, it's off to the Blizzard booth again to see what more can be found out about the game.

Expect more coverage soon.
