Enchanting is a powerful profession and a difficult one in the World of Warcraft. Enchanters use special ingredients to add magical effects to existing weapons or equipment making them more powerful and some will even add a visual effect.

First things first: find the enchantment trainer. If you do not know where the trainer is, just ask a guard; they are always helpful in these kinds of situations. Once you find the trainer, ask him/her to train you and voila! You are an enchanter! Now you will notice you got two new icons in your ability book, one for enchanting and the other called disenchanting.

The hardest part for an enchanter is gathering your ingredients. Where do they come from? They come from items with green and above quality. When disenchant an item, using your disenchant ability, you get useable ingredients, which you can use too enchant other items.

ENCHANTING 1-375

This is a compact and handy guide on how to get your enchanting skill from 1-375. Until 265 we will use only trainer recipes, from 265-300 vendor available recipes.

Note: 2-3 recipes need some reputation with 1 or 2 factions, very easy to get. Otherwise every recipe is sold and easy to find

How do I gain skill?

You will need a rod {which one will be detailed in the formula you wish to follow} in one of your bags and all the reagents listed in the formula and an item to enchant. Select the formula you wish to follow and hit 'Enchant'. Your cursor will glow. Click the item you wish to enchant and that's it. You can enchant an item in any of your bags or that you are wearing.
