Human Warlock Succubus Quest Walkthrough
| Human Warlock Quest info: The Succubus (level 20) |
This quest starts off in Stormwind, by the warlock trainers beneath the slaughtered lamb inn in the mage section of town.
One of the warlocks down there has a quest for you when you hit level 20:

He will tell you that you are now ready for his task, which is a quest for the ability to summon a succubus.
To do this you require a token of pure love, as that attracts the succubus most. (They naturally want to taint and corrupt it)
He does not know where to find such an item, and sends you off to find a 'Takar the Seer' in The Barrens, who can help you further.

How to travel from Stormwind to the Barrens
|
(Note: If you have visited the Wetlands, just take the gryphon there and skip some of the steps below)
- Take the Gryphon to Ironforge. Leave the city and follow the road to Loch Modan:

| - From Loch Modan, take the road all the way north into the Dun Algaz gate. Follow the road through the mountains until you enter the Wetlands. |
|
| - Traverse the Wetlands until you enter Menethil Harbor. There are many crocolisks within aggro range of the road In Menethil, you can avoid them or kill em. In Menethil, speak to the boat operator, and tell him you wish to travel to Auberdine. (Until the implementation of the boats, you'll get transported there instantly) |

| - You find yourself in an elven outpost. Resume your journey heading south to the next zone, Ashenvale. There isnt much that would attack you on your way there. |
|
| - From Ashenvale, follow the road south to The Barrens. Stay on the road if you dont want to be bothered. |
|
-Travel south in The Barrens, go around the crossroads orcish outpost, south again until you hit the area highlighted in green.
You will find a tree with a tent beside it, and the seer.
Note: There are other, more dangerous ways to get to the barrens. One of them is taking the boat to Theramore from the wetlands and to follow the road and signposts to the barrens. 40+ monsters roam here, and though there arent very many aggroing monsters on your path, it can still be risky.
Another is going to Booty Bay, which is all the way on the southern tip of Azeroth (Follow the road south from duskwood), and taking a boat to Ratchet, a goblin outpost in the barrens. This is a long walk through lvl 30+ territory with many aggroing monsters along the road. |

Part 2: Heartwood |
The Seer tells you a tale about two lovers that fell together in battle.The event is re-enacted before you, displayed by ghostlike figures.
Right where those two fell in battle, a tree grew. This tree is the symbol of undying love, and just the type of thing the succubus is attracted to. The Seer tells you to collect a piece of wood from the tree and bring it back to Gavin in Stormwind.
The tree can be found in Ashenvale. Go back the way you came and enter Ashenvale again.

-Back the way you came in the direction of Darkshore. You will find the tree in the purple area. It is guarded by warlocks with Voidwalker pets, which are soloable. Clear to the tree and gather the wood from it. This may take several attempts if you are not a herbalist, so dont dispair if you fail the first time and keep trying. Once you have the wood, head back to the docks in Darkshore and travel to Stormwind, or use your hearthstone. |

Turn the heartwood in in Stormwind, you will now be able to summon the Succubus at the summoners circle and defeat her like you did the Voidwalker at level 10.
You will receive the summoning scroll from Gakin. Congratulations, you are now the proud owner of an assspanking whipwielding demoness with some serious damage output, and a hell of a lot more hitpoints then that scrawny imp!
