Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos
Release Date: 2002
Genre: Real-Time Strategy Game
WarCraft
III: Reign of Chaos, is the latest installment in the
Warcraft series. Selling over 1 million copies in
less then a month, making it the fastest selling
PC game ever, WarCraft III has in many ways surpassed
the expectations of gamers. With the addition of
two new unique races to control, the mysterious
Night Elves and evil Undead, along with the familiar
Orc Hordes and Human Empires, WarCraft III is the
most action-packed WarCraft game yet. The game contains
32 campaign missions, which are split up evenly
between the four different races.
Fifteen
years after the first war between the Orcs and Humans, an
uneasy peace has settled over the lands. The Humans
of Azeroth grow content with their victory over the
Orcs, and feel that they pose no threat to the Human
way of life. Yet, as the Humans rest, the Orcs begin
to gather their forces under a new banner. No longer
controlled by the demons of the Burning Legion, the
Orcs resume their normal, shamanistic lifestyle. Little
known to both races, but their uneasy peace is about
to be shattered...and the survival of the world will
rest on an alliance of those who once called each
other enemies. As the game unfolds, you discover new
allies, new enemies, and a new, exciting storyline,
worthy of the WarCraft name. WarCraft III can be played
over Blizzard's Battle.net, as well as over a LAN.
