Mages are the masters of Fire and Ice. They are able to bend those elements to do their bidding…as long as their bidding is damage, damage, and more damage. Mages have the highest burst damage capability in the game, but generally
have the lowest Health and Armor of any class.
One of the most unique spells of the Mage is Polymorph. Polymorph is used frequently
to turn a humanoid or beast into a harmless sheep, turtle, or pig for a short
period of time. The act of Polymorphing essentially prevents the target from
performing any actions, but vastly increases the rate at which they recover
health.
Another set of spells unique to the Mage class are Teleports and Portals. Teleports
provide instantaneous travel from the Mage’s current location to any of
the main cities in the game of your faction, but are limited to the Mage only.
Portals provide the same instantaneous travel from the Mage’s current
location to any of the main cities in the game of your faction, but are available
to be used by any person in your party.
Mages are often the main source of damage in a raid/party. Most of this is
due to their natural threat reduction and their large sustained damage. Mages
are also essential in many fights that require Area of Effect attacks, as Mages
have Blizzard and Arcane Explosion. Blizzard also allows Mages to use their
Area of Effect attacks while leveling to kill multiple mobs at the same time.
This is not always feasible, but can be accomplished by skillful Mages.
Mages have 3 talent trees that accentuate their different magical perspectives.
The Arcane tree provides greater utility to the Mage and will allow the Mage
to conserve more Mana. The Fire tree enhances the destructive power of the Mage’s
fire spells leading to massive amounts of damage in a short period of time.
The Frost tree adds to the survivability of the Mage and enhances their Frost
spells greatly.

Fireball
A damage spell followed by a small DoT (Damage over time)
Frostbolt
A damage spell followed by a small snare effect
Arcane
Explosion
An AoE spell that deals arcane damage to all enemies within 10 yards.
Blizzard
Ice shards pelt the target area doing frost damage over 8 sec.
Frost Nova
An AoE spell that roots all enemies within 10 yards.
Polymorph
Transforms the enemy into a sheep, pig or turtle, forcing it to wander
around for a period of time.
